The team to represent Zone 9 at each level will be determined by the criteria outlined in the document located here and can be found in the Resources section.

A spreadsheet tracking results between the Zone 9 teams in each division will be posted shortly.

Hurry, you have until January 24th to buy specially priced tickets to this worthwhile event.  NHL Alumni face off against the Canadian Forces Young guns Thursday, January 26th.  All proceeds of this fundraising event go to benefit wounded soldiers, veternans and their families.  More information on the event is available at http://en.heroeshockeychallenge.com/.

On Sunday, January 8th, the best-of-the-best elite Midget AAA female athletes competed in the North versus South All Star game.  The result was an exciting 4-3 victory by the South team.  Girls Hockey Calgary was well represented in the game with both players and coaches contributing to the victory.  Congratulations!

Two GHC players also performed well in the skills competition with Sydney Laurin winning the Hardest Shot and Kacy Rawlyk winning Top Goaltender.

Our very own Trish Minor, long time GHC volunteer and current President, was honored at the Midget AAA Chaos feature match during the Mac's Midget Tournment.  Ms. Minor was recognized for her long time service to Girls Hockey and elite sports in Alberta.  Congratulations!

Every year in the female division of the Mac's Midget tournament, GHC volunteers organize a Pee Wee Shoot Out.  Thank you to all the volunteers who continue to make these exciting opportunites possible for our players and congratulations to Jenna from the Pee Wee A KAOS who was the top goalie and Emily from the Pee Wee B Thrashers who was the top shooter!  Way to go girls!

We are pleased to provide our graduating Midget players information about where or how to play hockey after leaving GHC.  Information will be gathered from collegiate, varsity and junior programs and can be found by clicking on the tab to the left of the main screen called "Life After GHC".

GHC and Team Alberta - the newest team added to the CWHL - have partnered to provide GHC teams an exciting fundraising opportunity.  Tickets to the games are sold for $8, with $5 staying with your team!  All games are played at Win Sport at COP.  Teams from across Canada - and even Russia! - will be visiting this season.  Check out the game schedule on the CWHL website and contact Audrey Malley for ticket information.  Go Team Alberta!
