What do I need to register?

New to Hockey?

Players who are new to hockey must complete additional steps before registration. Learn more about Registration for New Players.

New to GHC?

Players who were previously registered for hockey but are new to Girls Hockey Calgary must complete additional steps to have their hockey profile transferred to GHC before registration.

If your player(s) were previously registered with another Hockey Calgary association please contact admin@girlshockeycalgary.com with the following information: First and Last name of player(s), Birthdate(s) and Hockey Canada ID # (s) to request a transfer.

If your player(s) were previously registered with a minor hockey association outside the city of Calgary, please complete the Parent Declaration Form and submit along with supporting documents to admin@girlshockeycalgary.com.

Please Note: You will not be able to complete registration until the transfer is approved by your former association, Hockey Calgary and where applicable your Provincial Minor Hockey body.

Respect in Sport (RIS) for Hockey Canada Parents

All Hockey Calgary families are required to ensure they have up-to-date Respect in Sport (RIS) for Hockey Canada Parents certification before registering. Recertification is required every four years. If your Respect in Sport Parent certification is from 2017 or earlier, certification has now expired and you will need to recertify for the 2022-23 season. Please do this ASAP. A player will not be permitted to attend tryouts or evaluations if the RIS-Parent in their profile is expired.

You will need your player(s)' Hockey Canada ID to register. Make sure to save this numer for evaluations and future registrations!

Medical Information

Parents or guardians will be required to complete Hockey Canada's Medical Information Sheet as part of the registration process.

Financial Assistance

Withdrawal & Refunds

As per Hockey Calgary regulations, players requesting release to another Hockey Association in Calgary for the 2022-23 season must do so before September 1, 2022.

A $100 administration fee will be charged for all player withdrawals. For information on or to request withdrawals and refunds, please view our

Returned and NSF Payments

Returned payments on automated instalments, cheques that are not accepted by the financial institutions due to Non Sufficient Funds (NSF), and/or stop-payments are subject to an administrative fee.
The administrative fee and the value of the unfulfilled payment will be added to the GHC members’ account and they will be considered “Not in good standing” until the payment is received.
GHC reserves the right to not release a member “Not in good standing” for future registration with GHC or any other Hockey Canada member association.

2022-23 CALGARY FIRE AAA/AA FEES

Players must register with GHC to attend AAA/AA prep camps and try-out camps.

Players who are selected for the Calgary Fire AAA/AA Program pay additional program fees. These fees cover the increased ice rental, transportation, development, trainers, team official and administrative costs.

Registration fees already paid will be credited towards the AAA/AA Program Fees. Players are required to pay the balance once teams are finalized. Please visit our Registration page for our current fees.
