RETURNING PLAYERS

Returning players may register using their Hockey Canada ID Number. For instructions on how to retrieve your Hockey Canada ID Number, please visit our FAQ page. It is the responsibility of all GHC members to read, understand and follow our governing policies and guidelines. Respect In Sport for Parents

All GHC families are required to provide proof of up-to-date Respect in Sport (RIS) for Hockey Canada Parents certification before registering. Recertification is required every four years.

Volunteer Committment

GHC families are required to complete volunteer credits each season. The purpose of our volunteer commitment is to encourage our membership to become actively involved in the growth and the goals of our association.

NEW TO GHC

Parents who are new to our association must submit the following documents to registrar@girlshockeycalgary.com before registration. It is the responsibility of all GHC members to read, understand and follow our governing policies and guidelines. Please visit our Policy page to learn more.

Respect In Sport for Parents

Respect in Sport (RIS) for Hockey Canada Parents is a mandatory online course that must be completed in order to register for minor hockey. New registrants will receive a Hockey Canada ID after they complete the RIS course. Recertification is required every four years.

*Please select Girls Hockey Calgary (not Calgary Inferno) as your minor hockey association.

Parent Declaration Form

All new registrants must submit a Hockey Calgary Parent Declaration Form and supporting documents. The form requires:

  • Respect in Sport Certificate #
  • 1 Player Proof of Age example
  • 2 Proof of Residency examples
  • Signatures of Both Parents

Player Proof of Age

Parents must submit one (1) player Proof of Age example with the Parent Declaration Form. Acceptable examples include:

  • Birth certificate
  • Passport

Proof of Residency

Parents must submit two (2) Proof of Residency Examples with the Parent Declaration Form. Acceptable examples include:

  • Utility bill
  • Community School enrolment
  • GST Statement or Income Tax Assessment
  • Homeowner/Rental Insurance statement

Please note:
- Applicable fee increase will apply to payments received after July 31, 2020.
- For payments made in cash / cheque, please select "offline payment" at the time of registration.
- All cheques are to be made payable to Girls Hockey Calgary Association.

Financial Assistance

Withdrawal & Refunds

As per Hockey Calgary regulations, players requesting release to another Hockey Association in Calgary for the 2020-21 season must do so before September 1, 2020.

A $100 administration fee will be charged for all player withdrawals. For information on or to request withdrawals and refunds, please view our Player Withdrawal / Refund Request Form.

Please note:
GHC does not provide refunds on the U15 AA or U18 AA/AAA prep and tryout camps any later than 7 days prior to the start dates of each camp. If the request to withdraw from a prep or tryout camp is received more than 7 days prior to the start date, refunds will be subject to a $50 administration fee.

Returned and NSF Payments

  • Returned payments on automated instalments, cheques that are not accepted by the financial institutions due to Non Sufficient Funds (NSF), and/or stop-payments are subject to an administrative fee.
  • The administrative fee and the value of the unfulfilled payment will be added to the GHC members’ account and they will be considered “Not in good standing” until the payment is received.
  • GHC reserves the right not to release a member “Not in good standing” for future registration with GHC or any other Hockey Canada member association.

2020-21 CALGARY FIRE AAA/AA FEES

Players must register with GHC to attend AAA/AA prep camps and try-out camps.

Players who are successfully drafted to our Calgary Fire AAA/AA Program pay additional program fees. These fees cover the increased ice rental, transportation, development, trainers, team official and administrative costs.

Registration fees already paid will be credited towards the AAA/AA Program Fees. Players are required to pay the balance once drafted. Please visit our Registration page for our current fees.
